This incredible and unique 5-bedroom modern houseboat is for rent in one of the most upper-class residential areas in Amsterdam. When you enter the boat, you’ll know it… and simply don´t want to leave anymore. This is it! A breathtaking view on the river and the feeling you are out of town the second you close the door behind you. No house can offer this sensation and ultimate freedom in the middle of Amsterdam.

The upstairs of the boat boasts a huge living room with light seamless flooring and working wood burner fireplace, open plan kitchen with all needed appliances like dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electric stove, combi oven/microwave. There is a bedroom/office overlooking the Amstel River on the upper floor as well. The big glass facade, facing south over the river, stretches all the way from left to right. Through the sliding doors, you step onto a large wooden veranda/dock with lounge corner, picnic table and outdoor shower for relaxing outside on the water. The swimming ladder gives access to your private pool, the Amstel river.

The downstairs has a great children’s bedroom with a built-in double bunk bed, Chalet-style. Great for toddlers and sleepovers. The bathroom has a double-headed walk-in shower, double Jacuzzi and sink. On the other side of the bathroom, you’ll find the master bedroom with lots of built-in wardrobe space.

In the back end of the houseboat, you will find two bedrooms with both its own stairs to the split-level above with great small look-out rooms. If you have guests regularly or elder children in your family this gives the ultimate freedom because these bedroom/studios with bathroom have their own entrance.

Throughout the whole boat (upstairs and downstairs) there is floor heating. In the case of very warm summers, there is also air-conditioning upstairs. Downstairs the temperature is always a steady 19 – 20 degrees.

Aside from a picturesque setting, the houseboat is well serviced by local amenities, with an array of great cafes, stores, and restaurants at your disposal. It is located in the vibrant east side of the city center alongside the Amstel river. It is the green sunny side of the Amstel river with classic style buildings. A favorite route for people jogging in Amsterdam. Close to classic pubs like the IJsbreker and café Hesp.

Logistically it is ideally located to be everywhere in Amsterdam quickly by car (Wibautstraat and the A10 to the Zuidas), by metro (3-minute walk from the boat), by tram (5-minute walk from the boat) or by bike. Also convenient is that the Amstel Station is only an 8-minute walk from the boat, alongside the river, so that the rest of the Netherlands is easily accessible by train. Further, it is possible to park in front of the boat and a permit is available.
